Yoga is becoming very popular in the world of therapy. Often times when you hear the word “yoga” you think of all the advance poses you see. Well, they all had to start somewhere, right. Yoga is for anyone who wants to try it. You don’t have to be extremely flexible. And keep in mind there’s not just beginners yoga but also Yin and restorative yoga that focuses more so on connecting with your breath. It’s certainly helpful when increasing awareness but it incorporates meditation with slow movement. Yoga forces you to go within. It can be very emotional and deep. Yoga can be practiced at home or within your therapy sessions. There’s also personal yoga sessions that you may participate in.

Yoga brings about an inner peace and heightened awareness. While some of your past may become present it allows space for you to work on you.
